How it works, what we can see, and what happens to your data.
How it works
01
YOU TYPE A NAME
A Steam custom URL, a SteamID64, or a full profile link.
02
WE ASK STEAM
Politely demand who you are, and what you own. Then a few store lookups for prices and genres.
03
We cook
We combine hours itemised, titles awarded, and everything else.
Flaws we cant fix
Steam only started counting in 2009
Anything before that is lost media. If you were playing on Steam in 2005, it lives in your memory unless you got dementia.
Idle time counts as played time
Steam counts the game being open, so if you tricked them you tricked us.
Prices are today's, not necessarily what you paid
The shelf is valued at the current store price. If you bought it in a sale, it still shows full price. We can only measure of what the shelf is worth, not what it cost you.
Genres come from the store
A game tagged with three genres splits its hours three ways. So some of the numbers aren't perfect. If you're so smart and have a solution, contact us and lemme know.
We cannot see when you played
Steam gives totals and nothing else. No sessions, no time of day, no streaks. We know you probably don't care, but we had to round out the flaws list, five sections was too awkward to implement.
WHY IT IS FREE
Because we love gaming, and we're hoping ads and tips can keep us afloat. So if you're poor like us and can't tip, at least turn off your ad-blocker. If you don't, well it is what it is.
YOUR DATA
Required by Steam's API terms
Short version
WE DO NOT WANT YOUR DATA AND WE DO NOT KEEP IT, you actually cant make us.
What we keep, and for how long
A cached copy of a result for 2 hours, store prices for a day, genres for a week. Your tally of accounts is kept in your own browser and never reaches us. If you join the mailing list or use the contact form we hold the email you typed, and nothing else. It all sits on servers in the United States.
The leaderboard is opt-in
Nobody is added automatically, and you can only join by signing in with Steam — that proves the account is yours. We then store your Steam display name and four numbers: hours, virgin games, dust collecting total, and deepest game. Never your game list. Ask and the row is gone.
What we never ask for
We don't want payment details or Steam login credentials. Sign in with Steam is Valve's own system and hands us nothing but confirmation of who you are.
Steam's terms, and ours
We ask Steam for a public profile name and avatar and the list of games owned with their playtime, and only when somebody types a name in. We never crawl, never bulk fetch and never build a list of accounts. We never market to you using Steam data, and it all comes as is with no warranty. This site is not endorsed by or connected to Valve. Steam and its logo are their trademarks.
YOUR LIBRARY HAS TO BE PUBLIC
In Steam: Profile, then Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set Game details to Public. The playtime switch just below it needs to be on too. If it is private, Steam sends nothing back — to us or to anyone.

GET IN TOUCH
TAKE ME OFF THE BOARD
Pick that option above and send your Steam name. We remove the row and it does not come back unless you opt in again. No questions, no delay.
THE MAILING LIST
Occasional word when something new lands. Opt in on purpose, leave in one click, and it is never built from anybody's Steam data.
